This multifaceted condition, described only in the last decades, has the specificity of concerning many disciplines: neonatology, pediatric neurology, neurosciences, rehabilitation in all its forms, orthopedic surgery, treatment of pain, a.s.o. Without coordination, information is poorly distributed, resources are scattered and research does not advance.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">The ambition was to create a foundation whose mission would be to coordinate research in the various disciplines, spread knowledge &amp; information and raise funds to finance the research.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Thus, to meet a crucial need, the Fondation Motrice (which became the Fondation Paralysie C\u00e9r\u00e9brale a few years later) emerged in 2005 thanks to parents associations, health professionals and with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">The foundation is a crossroad between people affected by cerebral palsy, their families, researchers and resource providers. It is the product of a commitment and a collective mobilisation to allow children and adults affected by cerebral palsy to exercise their freedom.<\/p><p>It recognises the values held by the United Nation Convention regarding the rights of disabled people and the European Union Charter of fundamental
