Consisting of independent and internationally known personalities, its role is to:<\/p><ul><li class=\"translation-block\">Evaluate research projects to be financed as part of the calls for projects;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Advise on the Fondation main research orientations;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Provide the Board of Directors with information on research topics, methodologies and possible relevant means of action from a scientific viewpoint.<\/li><\/ul><p>It can include up to 20 members with a minimum of 8 members. It counts one or two members with the expertise of firsthand experience (person with cerebral palsy, family of close caregiver) in order to emphasize the viewpoint of those affected.<\/p><p>SC members are chosen by the Foundation Board of Directors on proposal of the CS president and following advice of the other members of the SC for a duration of 4 years, renewable once.<\/p><p>The SC president is also chosen by the Foundation Board of Directors administrative Board of the foundation following the advice of the Scientific Council
