The vocation of the Fondation Paralysie C\u00e9r\u00e9brale is precisely to catch up with this lack \u2013 and delay compared to other pathologies \u2013.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5740cc7 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5740cc7\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8ce5ae0 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"8ce5ae0\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a22741 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0a22741\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Progress is made but still insufficient<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-80c5b7b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"80c5b7b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">Since its creation in 2005, the Fondation Paralysie C\u00e9r\u00e9brale has launched calls for projects every year and supported 78 research works. From this work resulted the accompaniment or acceleration of important advances in fields as varied as neurosciences, medical imaging, molecular or cellular biology, pediatric neurology or rehabilitation. But it is still not enough, and to help to translation this research work into concrete progress in the lives of people concerned, this effort must be supported and emphasized.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bf373bf e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"bf373bf\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fd0a357 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"fd0a357\" issue<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f5c7478 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f5c7478\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\">Most of the time \u201caccidental\u201d, cerebral palsy affects each year approximately 1 500 infants that nothing predisposed to this disability.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Because this condition lasts for life and because life expectancy of affected people is close to that of the rest of the population, those 1 500 infants just increase the number of the 125 000 people already living with cerebral palsy in France. 125 000 means twice as many as the number of people affected by Down Syndrome for instance.<\/p><p>Hence, the challenge of research on cerebral palsy is:<\/p><ul><li class=\"translation-block\">To improve care and the quality of life of people already affected, and to bring solutions to their close circle;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">To pursue the decrease of prevalence of this pathology that affects 1 birth out of 570;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">And for the 4 newborn children who, every day, who still suffer of a brain lesion, to reduce the consequences of that lesion (motor, cognitive and sensory).<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-de6460e e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"de6460e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
