The target is to reach 10 000 steps a day or more, as recommended by the World Health Organisation, and to collect funds for research on cerebral palsy, first cause of motor disability in childhood, by moving for those who can\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-palette-color-2-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-e5665c48ca8dafead977e2fb646e35e9\"><strong>Faithful coaches and a committed patron<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour cette 6<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> \u00e9dition, la Fondation Paralysie C\u00e9r\u00e9brale s\u2019entoure de ses plus fid\u00e8les coachs&nbsp;: <strong>nos 2 stars,<\/strong> <strong>Adalia et Louis (8 ans), Jason l\u2019entrepreneur (25 ans) et notre maman sportive, Emmy (41 ans). <\/strong><strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette ann\u00e9e, ils vont lancer des d\u00e9fis aux participants aux travers de challenges ludiques, et montrer \u00e0 tous que, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur d\u00e9termination, ils sont capables de r\u00e9aliser de grandes choses.<strong> <\/strong>Ils vous donnent rendez-vous d\u00e8s le 13 septembre 2024 pour<strong> le d\u00e9but du challenge&nbsp;! <\/strong>Cette ann\u00e9e \u00e9galement, la Fondation est fi\u00e8re de pouvoir compter sur le soutien de son tout nouveau parrain&nbsp;: l\u2019ancien international de rugby <strong>Julien Bonnaire<\/strong>, un grand homme au grand c\u0153ur, qui se bat depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es pour promouvoir le sport pour les enfants en situation de handicap.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>As a former rugby player, I know the importance of practising a physical activity, for fun or at the high level I have known. And even more for disabled persons, for whom practising a physical activity is essential, both in terms of physical exercise and motricity, but also from the social point of view.\u201d<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0, explique Julien Bonnaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fund raising to finance research projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since it was created in 2005, with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, by parents and health professionals with the purpose to gather researchers and donors, the Fondation Paralysie C\u00e9r\u00e9brale, only foundation fully dedicated to research on the condition in France, invested nearly 7 million \u20ac in 78 research projects dealing with primary needs of children and adults affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By committing to meet the STEPtember challenge, each participant, by means of their participation and funds they manage to raise among their entourage, contributes to advance research on cerebral palsy. All of the collected funds will be used to finance ENSEMBLE: an ambitious research programme the purpose of which is to diagnose cerebral palsy in a reliable manner very early in the life (before the age of 6 months, whereas currently the diagnosis is only posed around the age of 2). The sooner it is detected, the sooner we can take the right steps to provide better care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pour participer \u00e0 STEPtember<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les inscriptions sont ouvertes ! Une participation de 25 euros par personne (15\u20ac pour les -18 ans et les \u00e9tudiants) est demand\u00e9e. En individuel, par entreprise ou association, c&rsquo;est un tout nouveau d\u00e9fi qui attend les participants, avec des quiz et autres d\u00e9fis ludiques leur permettant de gagner des points en plus du d\u00e9fi de pas, qui prend en compte les nombre de pas directement depuis le podom\u00e8tre de votre smartphone.
