Accounts and key figures

Rigour, integrity and responsibility are at the heart of our values. The Fondation guarantees the transparency of its finance management and of the utility of donations and generosities entrusted to it to carry out its mission: support research on cerebral palsy.

Our internal and external control procedures

Eager to maintain its excellency, the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale set up internal and external control procedures in order to ensure rigour and efficiency in its management. All year long, the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors control the proper use of funds, ensure a strict management and guarantee financial transparency.

The Board of Directors meets to approve the activity report and the financial report of the previous year. Accounts, certified by the firm named Auditeurs et Conseils Associés Experts, are published according to legal requirements.

We are deeply grateful towards our donors, partners and sponsors for their invaluable generosity. Their trust inspire and motivates us to use each Euro we are entrusted with in the most judicious and responsible manner. That is why we are determined to carefully watch the optimal use of funds to operate the Fondation, by reducing costs as much as possible:

  • rent;
  • salaries;
  • fund research costs;
  • and other essential needs.

This will allows us to devote each year more resources to our main mission: research on cerebral palsy.

“I am happy to have been assigned the role of treasurer of the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale, a healthy and rigorous organisation in terms of financial management. This status leads me into the heart of the charitable organisation’s life to give the funds the best orientation possible towards excellent scientific research. Here, each Euro counts. The balance between resources and employment places the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale ratios at the best level compared to organisations that call on public generosity. On behalf of the Administrative Board, I thank very warmly and from the bottom of my heart all those who trust and support us."

IDEAS label

A structuring and demanding approach serving action

One of our purposes being to guarantee financial transparency, we chose to apply for and obtained the IDEAS label, proof of our commitment towards rigorous and transparent management.

This independent label is awarded to organisations and foundations meeting the requirement of the IDEAS Guide of Good Practices. It attests to the quality of governance, finance and evaluation practices, and is a reference of trust for partners and funders.

Its baseline, built by stakeholders in the associative and philanthropy sector covers the key operating fields of an organisation. It engages the organisation to boost its development and optimise its actions.

It is awarded thanks to the accompaniment of volunteer advisers of the IDEAS Institute, based on professional external controls and after an audition in front of the Label Committee (autonomous body).

This label was awarded to the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale in 2015, renewed in 2019 and more recently in 2023. This renewal illustrates the Fondation’s dynamic of continuous improvement. Ce renouvellement valorise la dynamique d’amélioration continue de la Fondation.

“Since our first IDEAS labelling in 2015, the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale never stopped its research activities on cerebral palsy, according to good practices attested by the IDEAS label for its governance, finance and evaluation. It is with immense pride and gratitude that we welcome this new trustful recognition from the Label Committee. We wish very sincerely to thank all the teams of the IDEAS Institute, whose accompaniment has allowed us, for 9 years now, to improve our practices and optimise our governance. It strengthens our will to pursue our action and is a valuable tool allowing us to make donors and sponsors, present and future, aware of our transparency and our rigour in the management of the funds we receive."
