Governance
Since it was created, the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale follows strict rules in terms of governance and operation, thanks to its Board of Directors and Scientific Council.
Board of directors
The Foundation is administered by a council consisting of 12 members:
- 4 members belonging to the Founding College (2 of them being appointed by Envoludia (former Apetreimc);
- 5 members from the college of qualified personalities, chosen for their competency on the Fondation field of activity;
- 2 members belonging to the college of The Foundation’s « friends »
- 1 member belonging to the institutional partners college consisting of France Cerebral Palsy Federation.
The Fondation roadmap is fixed with the agreement of all the members, driven by each of them.
The main missions of the Board of Directors are:
- Determine the Foundation main orientations and its annual policy;
- Approve annual accounts;
- Decide the allocation of results;
- Vote the provisional budget;
- Choose the members of the Executive Committee which consists of 4 members (President Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary).
The Board of Directors meets at least once every 5 months and each time is called by its President, by demand of 25% of its members or of the government commissioner.

Scientific Council
The Foundation's Scientific Council (SC) is the competent body on scientific issues. Consisting of independent and internationally known personalities, its role is to:
- Evaluate research projects to be financed as part of the calls for projects;
- Advise on the Fondation main research orientations;
- Provide the Board of Directors with information on research topics, methodologies and possible relevant means of action from a scientific viewpoint.
It can include up to 20 members with a minimum of 8 members. It counts one or two members with the expertise of firsthand experience (person with cerebral palsy, family of close caregiver) in order to emphasize the viewpoint of those affected.
SC members are chosen by the Foundation Board of Directors on proposal of the CS president and following advice of the other members of the SC for a duration of 4 years, renewable once.
The SC president is also chosen by the Foundation Board of Directors administrative Board of the foundation following the advice of the Scientific Council members.

Based in Paris, the Fondation Paralysie Cérébrale is operated on a day-to-day basis by a streamlined team consisting of employees and volunteers.
